Slate Coffee Roasters
http://www.slatecoffee.com/Today I ventured into Ballard for some breakfast and coffee to inspire me to do my homework. After I had breakfast, I walked to Slate Coffee that is at the beginning of Market Street. Slate Coffee is close to being a hole in the wall, but the experience they pack into a small place does not disappoint.
I ordered a "6 ounce espresso + milk" from their simple menu. If you order to stay, you will have your finely-crafted beverage served to you in something that resembles a wine glass, specifically so you can take in how delicious and creamy the espresso looks. There are a few other options to choose from on the menu, such as a deconstructed latte and iced coffee, but you won't find much more. You also won't find flavors here, which is a blessing, because Slate Coffee is so smooth and sweet that you do not need anything added!
I hope to come back here and try the rest of the menu. Slate Coffee is something I dream about from 30 minutes north. This is the second time I have been here, and I received the same great customer service and sweet, smooth coffee. Before my visit, I checked their website and discovered that I needed to acquire one of their cool tumblers!
Slate Coffee is something not to be overlooked, and so far this is the BEST tasting coffee I have ever had, and I have had a lot of coffee.
Thank you, Slate Coffee, for existing!
